Put it on the purchased flask. It goes on both caps. If you have a single cap flask (i.e. no valve, i.e. the hose goes on the vacuum flask with the same end as you put on the pump), cut off the white end of the hose. If you have flasks with both a valve and a single cap, you need to buy another hose.

Recommendation:

Consider buying an automatic vacuum pump. An automatic vacuum pump is significantly more powerful, faster and more convenient. It's a two-class difference in power and especially comfort. One would rather intuitively reach for a manual vacuum pump. But here intuition fails. The price difference is big, but the qualities of an automatic vacuum pump outweigh it. We would have no hesitation in opting for an automatic vacuum pump. We would keep manual vacuum pumps because of affordability. They get the job done, but the difference against automatic pumps is huge.
